Since 1999, Sonotrope Recordings has been the obscure address of some of the freshest, oddest, most challenging
music around. From the beginning, our goal has been to surprise, please, offend and amaze you. We believe that good art can be lovely and sublime (we are NOT bored by beauty or jaded to the point that simplicity, melody or spirituality
have become passe). We also believe that great art can be ugly, scary, vehement too. It can caress you or
grab you by the throat and it's all good!
We've changed our name to Sonotrope Sound and Image because in the near future we hope to be offering video
and photographic works as well. Stay tuned...
